About The Position

The Quality Assurance Coordinator role will play a critical part in maintaining our commitment to quality and compliance by ensuring all documentation and processes are audit-ready. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in a food manufacturing or similar regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, FSMA, and ISO 22000.
  • Experience preparing for and supporting external audits (e.g., FDA, USDA, third-party audits).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and quality management software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze data and implement effective solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in food safety (e.g., PCQI, SQF Practitioner) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain all quality assurance documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Coordinate and support external audits by ensuring documentation, records, and processes are readily available and accurate.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production, quality control, and supply chain teams to address and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Monitor and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect current practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Track and report key quality metrics to management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the investigation of customer complaints and non-conformances, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, food safety standards, and best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Train and support team members on quality assurance processes, documentation requirements, and audit readiness.
