About The Position
The Quality Assurance Assistant supports and maintains the Dry Cleaning component of the Quality Assurance Department. The role handles merchandise intake, tracking, inspection, and preparation for dry cleaning, laundry, or in-house mending and restoration. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, works effectively with minimal supervision, and is comfortable in a dynamic environment where team members may assist across departments as needed.
Requirements
- At least 1–2 years of experience working in a dry cleaner, warehouse, or QA/QC environment.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly and effectively identify apparel flaws.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks without constant supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Microsoft Office or Excel experience.
- Technical fashion knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assist with pickups from other departments and scan merchandise into the defect location.
- Sort incoming inventory pallets and scan merchandise into the defect or dry-cleaning location.
- Assist with the liquidation process.
- Maintain check-in and check-out records for merchandise assigned for dry cleaning.
- Review each item for dry-cleaning or laundry issues, then tag and bag it.
- Review items for mending or restoration that can be done in-house without sending them to dry cleaners.
- Receive and inspect incoming dry cleaning for approval.
- Assist in other areas of the department or company as needed.
