Qualified Mental Health Professional
About The Position
SPARC is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional to provide Community Support Team (CST) services in Charlotte, North Carolina. CST serves adults with mental illness and substance use needs who require additional treatment support to live in the community. Services use a team approach tailored to each client's needs. CST aims to support symptom stability by reducing psychiatric or substance use disorder symptoms; provide restorative interventions focused on interpersonal, community, coping, and independent living skills; offer psychoeducation; provide crisis intervention and de-escalation; and coordinate services and connect clients with community resources.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with adults and/or adolescents in the mental health field.
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services field, such as psychology, sociology, social work, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Provide Community Support Team services to adults with mental illness and substance use needs.
- Support symptom stability by reducing presenting psychiatric or substance use disorder symptoms.
- Provide restorative interventions targeting interpersonal, community, coping, and independent living skills.
- Provide psychoeducation.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation.
- Coordinate services and link clients to community resources.
