About The Position
SPARC is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional to provide Community Support Team (CST) services in Buncombe County, North Carolina. CST serves adults with mental illness and substance use needs who require additional support to live in the community. Services use a team approach tailored to each client’s needs. The role supports symptom stability, restoration of interpersonal and independent-living skills, psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and coordination with community resources.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working with adults and/or adolescents in the mental health field.
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services field, such as psychology, sociology, social work, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Provide Community Support Team services to adults with mental illness and substance use needs.
- Support symptom stability by reducing psychiatric or substance use disorder symptoms.
- Provide restorative interventions targeting interpersonal, community, coping, and independent living skills.
- Provide psychoeducation.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation.
- Coordinate services and link clients to community resources.
