About The Position

Western Tidewater Community Services Board (WTCSB) is seeking Crisis Qualified Mental Health Professionals (Qualified Mental Health Professionals Adult and Child) for its Windsor location. WTCSB provides coordinated, recovery-oriented care in mental health, intellectual disability, and substance abuse services to residents of Franklin and Suffolk and the counties of Isle of Wight and Southampton. The organization emphasizes valuing staff, supporting diversity, and promoting excellence and personal choice in consumer care. The role provides consumer assessments and helps determine initial services for priority populations. It also includes scheduling services, connecting consumers with other providers, and planning, coordinating, and implementing treatment, education, rehabilitation, and support services. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a human service field.
One year of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, substance abuse, or individuals who are dually diagnosed.
QMHP-C or QMHP-A qualification is required.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable DMV record.

Responsibilities

Provide consumer assessments, including determining initial services for priority populations.
Schedule services.
Link consumers with and refer them to other service providers.
Provide counseling and plan, develop, coordinate, consult on, and implement services that provide treatment, education, rehabilitation, and support.
