About The Position
CarDon and Associates is seeking Qualified Medication Aides to help ensure the safe and effective administration of medications to residents. The role includes managing medication schedules, ensuring residents receive prescribed medications on time, and monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions. QMAs communicate findings to nursing staff and interact with residents daily in a compassionate, supportive manner, contributing to residents’ health, well-being, and quality of life. Requirements
- Current certification as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) in Indiana.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably long-term care.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of pharmacology and medication management.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents according to physician orders and facility policies.
- Monitor residents for medication side effects or adverse reactions and report findings to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate medication administration records and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with developing and implementing individualized resident care plans.
- Provide residents and their families with education and support regarding medication management.
