About The Position

The QMAP is responsible for safely administering prescribed medications and treatments listed on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and Treatment Administration Record (TAR), while providing personal and general nursing care to residents as needed or assigned. This is a full-time evening position at Liberty Heights. The role includes medication inventory management, documentation, medication-cart cleaning and restocking, and comparing current MARs with new MARs during changeovers. Resident care duties include assistance with personal care and routine nursing tasks.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience in a senior care setting.
State-specific QMAP certificate.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional and positive demeanor.
Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Safely administer medications and follow the six rights of medication administration.
Count and document all narcotics administered to residents.
Manage the community’s medication inventory, including ordering, receiving and verifying, storing and dating medications, removing expired or discontinued medications, and notifying appropriate parties when supplies are low.
Identify discrepancies in medication inventory and report them to the appropriate parties.
Clean medicine carts daily at the end of the shift, restock as needed, and deep-clean all medication carts weekly.
Verify current MARs against new MARs at changeover.
Provide personal care as needed, including bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, and assistance with eating.
Provide general nursing care, including taking vital signs, temperatures, blood pressure, and weights.
Document appropriate information in the daily log as required.
