About The Position
Brookdale is hiring a QMAP (Medication Aide/Tech) to administer or assist with self-administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by a health care provider, in accordance with state regulations and after required training or certification. The role includes observing and reporting residents’ responses to a supervisor, maintaining an organized and clean medication supply room, assisting with medication cart audits, accurately counting medications, and coordinating medication deliveries with pharmacies. - Completion of required state-regulated training or certification for medication aide/tech duties.
Responsibilities
- Administer or assist with self-administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by a health care provider, in accordance with state regulations and required training or certification.
- Observe and report residents’ responses to medication and treatments to a supervisor.
- Keep the medication supply room organized and clean.
- Assist with medication cart audits and provide accurate medication counts.
- Communicate with pharmacies to coordinate medication delivery.
