QC Technician - Auto Parts - No Weekends

About The Position

Fenix Parts, Inc. is seeking a QC Technician to help ensure the quality, appearance, and accuracy of outgoing auto parts orders. This Monday-through-Friday position involves inspecting stock and brokered parts, documenting discrepancies, addressing issues with internal resources, and refurbishing parts to meet company appearance standards. The role also supports packing, shipping preparation, materials handling, inventory, and housekeeping in the QC area.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1–3 years of related experience and/or training with heavy equipment to move vehicles or fragile objects, or equivalent.
Ability to lift 75 pounds.
Excellent close vision and depth perception, ability to see color, and ability to adjust focus.
Attention to detail.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Examine stock and brokered parts for wear and defects and compare them with purchase orders, work orders, and other records to verify accuracy.
Record discrepancies in part descriptions, including damage not recorded on purchase or work orders, and work with internal resources to resolve problems.
Inspect parts to confirm their appearance meets established company standards.
Refurbish parts as necessary to bring them to the established appearance standard.
Pack, seal, and label materials for shipping using the appropriate tag.
Prepare shipping and routing documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, packing lists, or invoices.
Contact carrier representatives to arrange shipping or provide shipping and delivery instructions.
Deliver or route materials to staging areas using a hand truck, lift truck, forklift, or sorting bins.
Requisition and store quality-control and shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory.
Maintain housekeeping in the QC area.
