About The Position

Fenix Parts, Inc. is seeking a QC Technician to help ensure the consistent quality, appearance, and accuracy of outgoing auto-parts orders. This Monday-through-Friday position has no weekend work. The technician inspects stock and brokered parts, records and helps resolve discrepancies, refurbishes parts as needed to meet appearance standards, and prepares materials and documents for shipping. The role also includes coordinating shipping arrangements, moving materials to staging areas, maintaining supplies, and keeping the QC area clean.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1–3 years of related experience and/or training with heavy equipment to move vehicles or fragile objects, or equivalent.
Ability to lift 75 lbs.
Excellent close vision, depth perception, ability to see color, and ability to adjust focus.
Attention to detail.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Examine stock and brokered parts for wear and defects and compare them with purchase orders, work orders, and other records to verify accuracy.
Record discrepancies in part descriptions, including damage not recorded on purchase or work orders, and work with internal resources to resolve issues.
Inspect parts’ appearance to confirm they meet established company standards.
Refurbish parts as needed to meet the established appearance standard.
Pack, seal, and label materials for shipping using the appropriate tag.
Prepare work orders, bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, and other documents to route materials.
Contact carrier representatives to arrange shipping or provide shipping and delivery instructions.
Deliver or route materials to the appropriate staging area using a hand truck, lift truck, forklift, or sorting bins.
Requisition and store quality-control and shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory.
Maintain housekeeping in the QC area.
