About The Position

The QA Technician inspects designated areas for cleanliness and sanitation to support efficient and effective daily operations. The role audits products for quality and cleanliness, monitors and records conditions of equipment, boxes, facilities, and temperatures in rooms, products, trailers, and sterilizers, and completes required paperwork such as sanitation reports. The technician verifies the accuracy of scales, equipment, and labels, observes hourly employees to ensure procedures are followed, attends meetings as scheduled or called, and performs other duties as needed or assigned. This is a full-time, salaried non-exempt position in the Pork division, based in Marshalltown, with a primary second-shift schedule and flexibility as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Dependable, enthusiastic, and self-starting.
• Leadership skills.
• Good people skills and ability to work well with others.
• Ability to communicate in English, both in writing and verbally.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to perform some heavy lifting.
• Ability to work all three shifts as needed.
• Ability to work in both hot and cold temperatures.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual ability is preferred but not required.
