About The Position

Dieffenbach’s Snacks is hiring a temporary QA Technician for its WM Team C. The technician helps ensure that snack products meet quality standards, supporting the quality and consistency of the company’s products. The assignment is approximately one month. Training takes place on day shift, followed by a gradual transition to second shift. The schedule is Thursday through Saturday, 6:50 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pay is $21.00 per hour, consisting of $20.00 base pay and a $1.00 shift differential. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a post-offer background check and drug screening in accordance with applicable law.

Requirements

• Ability to work on your feet in an active, warm, and sometimes noisy environment.
• Comfort working near machinery, high temperatures, and oily surfaces.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain pace during 12-hour shifts.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Careful, organized, reliable approach to work and attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Taste potatoes, chips, oil, and packaging as part of quality checks.
• Check salt and seasoning levels.
• Inspect chip color and crunch, as well as bag moisture and weight.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and safe.
• Identify and separate products that do not meet standards and help determine the cause.
• Use quality-checking tools, including metal detectors, swabs, and oxygen meters.
• Record findings clearly and neatly.
• Communicate with operators and leaders when adjustments or fixes are needed.
• Assist with training or special samples when needed.
