About The Position

The QA Shipping Coordinator serves as a departmental lead responsible for maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and cadence of shipments moving in and out of our NC Facility. They will manage inbound vendor quality inspections, product organization, and discrepancy resolution in partnership with internal teams along with ensuring shipping timelines align with project deadlines serving as the primary liaison with partnered teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field, and/or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Shipping, Logistics, Operations, or a related coordination role.
  • Strong working knowledge of domestic and international shipping carriers, processes, and documentation requirements (e.g., commercial invoices, HS codes, duty/customs compliance).
  • Strong working knowledge of shipping carriers, tracking systems, and claims processes for both domestic and international shipments.
  • Proven ability to investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies with a thorough, detail-oriented approach and a focus on preventing repeat occurrences.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to relay clear, accurate information across departments — particularly to non-shipping stakeholders such as Talent Acquisition.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable operating with accountability in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and shipping management systems

Responsibilities

  • Monitor active shipments against project timelines to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Proactively identify at-risk shipments and coordinate with internal teams and carriers to resolve delays before they impact project milestones.
  • Own the identification, investigation, and resolution of shipment and package discrepancies.
  • Oversee receiving of inbound shipments from vendor while verifying product quality.
  • Process received product to best serve project requirements and organize product to smooth downstream needs.
  • Drive corrective actions on inbound products in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Maintain visibility into expected vendor shipments to support proactive capacity planning.
  • Communicate resource needs, volume forecasts, and scheduling conflicts in advance to allow for proper planning and staffing alignment.
  • Serve as the direct line of communication between the NC teams and partnered departments.
  • Provide regular status updates on current shipments and inbound products, flag emerging concerns, and collaborate on planning for upcoming commitments and future operational needs.
  • Coach and develop proficiency across shipping and inbound workflows, expand individual skill sets, and increase the team's overall capacity to handle higher volume and more complex workloads.
  • Identify training opportunities, maintain and improve SOPs, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
