About The Position

The QA Lab Technician collects, prepares, and/or tests samples; records, analyzes, and presents test data; and maintains laboratory equipment and sanitary conditions. The role may also include other tasks assigned by a supervisor or manager. The technician must be able to work independently, manage time effectively, communicate with employees, plant management, and USDA personnel, and be willing to learn and cross-train on departmental tasks.

The position may involve working in a plant environment with exposure to wet or moist floors, noise, chemicals, and a range of product and ambient temperatures. Required protective and safety equipment must be worn and used as directed by Case Farms. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be eager and willing to learn.
• Be flexible; extended shifts may be required.
• Be able to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
• Have a sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
• Have a good attendance history, defined as 2 points or less.
• Be willing to be cross-trained and learn all tasks in the department.
• Have basic computer skills.
• Effectively manage time to complete assigned tasks.
• Communicate effectively with other hourly employees, plant management, and USDA personnel.

Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and/or test samples.
• Keep accurate and legible records of all testing completed.
• Record and analyze data and present results.
• Maintain and clean equipment.
• Ensure sanitary conditions are maintained in the laboratory area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
