About The Position

This role involves operating and maintaining processes, equipment, or systems following autonomous maintenance standards. The technician will use their skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs. Key responsibilities include reviewing and approving incoming ingredients and packaging, maintaining equipment calibration, and performing program swabbing throughout the production facility to ensure food safety and quality requirements are met.

  • Work alternative shift coverage as needed.
  • Follow through on commitment and persevere through challenges to find creative solutions.
  • Experience performing food safety and quality activities in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of food safety and quality experience in a food processing plant.
  • Experience/knowledge in SAP.
  • Visual/verbal/auditory acuity – far sighted/near sighted/color vision, auditory and verbal skills
  • Exposure to temperature – heat and below freezing temperatures inside and out
  • Slippery floors – requires balance and agility inside and outside
  • Work with and/or around: moving conveyors, various automated equipment, lift trucks, manual equipment, allergens including soy, peanut and tree nut, and airborne powders
  • Tolerate and work at heights of up to 30 ft
  • Sensory acuity including taste, touch, and smell

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or a related field preferred.
