About The Position

The Purchasing Specialist supports Sterlitech’s procurement operations by ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective purchasing of materials and services. This role manages purchase orders and upholds data accuracy to keep operations running efficiently. The position contributes to supply chain reliability and continuous improvement across procurement processes.

Requirements

Associate / Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
1+ year of experience purchasing in a manufacturing business
Experience working in an ERP system (NetSuite strongly preferred)
Familiarity with inventory management or supply chain concepts
Experience working with vendors or suppliers
Exposure to procurement processes or purchasing workflows
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook)
Strong communication and follow-up skills

Responsibilities

Create, process, and manage purchase orders in NetSuite
Track orders from placement through delivery and closure
Follow up with vendors to confirm pricing, lead times, and order status
Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment for consumable items
Communicate with suppliers regarding order confirmations, discrepancies, and delivery updates
Maintain accurate vendor records, pricing, and documentation
Support vendor onboarding and data maintenance
Monitor inventory levels of consumables and assist with replenishment
Support internal requisitions and ensure timely fulfillment
Coordinate with warehouse and operations to resolve receiving or shipment issues
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, and shipments
Escalate supplier performance or delivery issues as needed
