About The Position

Westrafo America is the first US-based facility specializing in the design and manufacturing of high-quality transformers. We are committed to excellence and are looking to expand our team with dedicated professionals who share our passion for electrical engineering and manufacturing.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, components, and services to support production operations. You will work closely with suppliers, production, and inventory teams to ensure materials are available on time and at the best possible value.

Requirements

• 3+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Office.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials, components, equipment, and services required for manufacturing operations.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders based on production schedules and material requirements.
• Track deliveries and resolve issues related to shortages, quality concerns, or delayed shipments.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, supplier data, and documentation in SAP.
• Evaluate supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with production, planning, engineering, and finance teams to support continuous improvement and cost control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.
