Pulmonary - NP/PA - Part-Time
About The Position
This is a part-time position for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine department at Atrium Health Pineville. The APP will work rotating through inpatient, outpatient, and LTACH locations. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, with rotation to nights/weekends only as needed for emergent/critical staffing shortages. Nurse practitioners are required to have an acute care master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice and certification as an ACNP. Physician Assistants require certification from the National Commission on Certification of PAs. 1-2 years of APP experience is preferred, and postgraduate Pulmonary Medicine fellowship and/or Pulmonary Medicine experience is a plus. North Carolina license, North Carolina DEA, BLS, and ACLS are required.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program
- Acute care master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice (for NPs)
- Certification as an ACNP from a nationally recognized certifying body (for NPs)
- Certification from the National Commission on Certifying PAs (for PAs)
- North Carolina license
- North Carolina DEA
- BLS required
- ACLS required
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of APP experience preferred
- Post graduate Pulmonary Medicine fellowship and/or Pulmonary Medicine experience is a plus
