About The Position
This is a part-time position for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine department at Atrium Health Pineville. The role involves working in a physical practice setting with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm, with rotation to nights/weekends as needed for emergent/critical staffing shortages. The APP will rotate through inpatient, outpatient, and LTACH locations. The practice is part of Advocate Health, a large integrated health system known for clinical innovation and value-based care.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
- Nurse practitioners must have an acute care master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice.
- Certification as an ACNP from a nationally recognized certifying body is required for Nurse Practitioners.
- Physician Assistants must have certification from the National Commission on Certification of PAs.
- North Carolina license required.
- North Carolina DEA required.
- BLS required.
- ACLS required.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of APP experience preferred.
- Post graduate Pulmonary Medicine fellowship and/or Pulmonary Medicine experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
