This full-time position in Pulmonary Critical Care involves the daily rounding, evaluation, management, and stabilization of complex post-operative cardiac surgery patients. The role includes managing patients undergoing procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, complex aortic replacements, heart transplants, and durable mechanical support devices. Responsibilities also encompass admission notes, daily progress notes, and billing. The position requires interpreting pulmonary artery catheter data, managing chest tubes and temporary epicardial pacing, and managing mechanical support devices like VADs, ECMO, and IABPs. The service provides 24/7 coverage with a shift-based model, and there are teaching opportunities with APP fellows and nursing staff.
