About The Position

The Public Space Attendant helps create a welcoming environment by keeping public guest and associate spaces clean, organized, and well-maintained. The role includes cleaning restrooms, dining venues, amenity areas, break rooms, and other assigned spaces, while providing excellent guest service. The position operates under direct supervision, follows well-defined policies and procedures, and has limited opportunity for independent judgment. Work is reviewed by a supervisor. The role may require irregular hours to accommodate property guest schedules and events, including weekends and holidays. Travel requirements are 5–10%.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 1–2 years of general housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• A state-issued chauffeur’s license in the state of employment or residence.
• General knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence in English.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including events, weekends, and holidays, based on guest schedules and visits.
• Ability to use common-sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Regularly walk and stand; occasionally sit and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces, including restrooms, guest areas, dining venues, and associate facilities.
• Complete routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing, according to department standards.
• Clean and maintain windows, mirrors, glass surfaces, fixtures, and high-touch areas.
• Empty waste and recycling receptacles and maintain designated indoor and outdoor disposal areas.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and provide service and support.
• Safely use, handle, and store cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment while following safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment to support daily operations.
• Follow established safety, cleanliness, and service standards, support team members, and complete additional duties as assigned.
