About The Position

Provide fire, safety, and security protection for Mercy coworkers, patients, and visitors. Promote and practice fire and safety prevention. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Obtain valid local, state, or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required within 90 days of hire.
• Complete a Basic 16-hour Public Safety/Security course within 90 days of hire; this may be completed as part of licensure. Officers in areas without a licensing body must complete IAHSS Basic.
• Ability to read and write English.

Nice To Haves

• College degree.
• Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience.
• Valid local, state, or federal Public Safety/Security licensure, as required.
