About The Position

The Public Safety Officer performs security services at Garden City Hospital, including electronic surveillance and systematic manual security rounds. The officer coordinates the facility’s response to potential problems involving patients, employees, and visitors; enforces policies and procedures equitably; and uses established guidelines and ongoing monitoring techniques to help maintain a safe workplace and environment of care. The role works with the Environment of Care committee on security and safety, participates in employee awareness and education, and drives as needed for company business.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State Guard Certification Registration Card, if applicable under state requirements.
• State driver’s license upon hire, as required by the facility.
• Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report, as required by the facility.

• Experience in healthcare security or a related field is preferred.
