Public Safety Officer
About The Position
The Public Safety Officer provides security services at Prime Healthcare Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. The role includes electronic surveillance and systematic manual security rounds, coordinating the facility’s response to potential problems involving patients, employees, and visitors, and enforcing policies and procedures equitably. The officer follows guidelines and uses ongoing monitoring techniques to help establish a safe workplace and environment of care. The position also works with the Environment of Care committee on a multidisciplinary approach to security and safety, participates in employee awareness and education, and drives as needed for company business. This is a full-time evening-shift position scheduled from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with weekend availability required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- State driver's license upon hire.
- Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report.
- FOID Card.
- Must be able to work weekends.

- Experience in healthcare security or a related field is preferred.
