About The Position

Saint Michael's Medical Center is seeking a Public Safety Officer to help maintain a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care for patients and visitors. The role performs security services, including electronic surveillance and systematic manual security rounds, and coordinates the facility's response to potential problems. The officer enforces policies and procedures equitably, uses established guidelines and ongoing monitoring techniques, collaborates with the Environment of Care committee, and participates in employee awareness and education. Driving may be required for company business. Saint Michael's Medical Center is a 358-bed regional tertiary-care, teaching, and research center in Newark, New Jersey. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
State Guard Certification Registration Card.
State driver's license upon hire.
Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report.

Responsibilities
