About The Position

The Public Safety Officer performs security services, including electronic surveillance and systematic manual security rounds. The role coordinates facility responses to potential problems involving patients, employees, and visitors; enforces policies and procedures equitably; and uses guidelines and ongoing monitoring techniques to help establish a safe workplace and environment of care. The officer works with the Environment of Care committee on a multidisciplinary approach to security and safety, participates in employee awareness and education, and drives as needed for company business.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
State driver's license upon hire, if required by the facility.
Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report, if required by the facility.

Experience in healthcare security or a related field is preferred.
