About The Position
Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) is seeking a part-time Public Safety Assistant for its Beardstown campus. The role supports a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The Public Safety Assistant serves as an important campus presence and helps foster a supportive environment for learning and work. LLCC welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and experiences to support an inclusive and diverse workplace and learning environment. The schedule varies by semester. The current schedule is Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 to 9:00.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid State of Illinois driver’s license.
- Must meet the criteria outlined in the Illinois Public Community College Act (110 ILCS 805/3-42.1), including being of good character and not a habitual drunkard or gambler, and having no felony conviction or conviction for a crime involving moral turpitude.
- Demonstrated people skills in dealing with a variety of difficult circumstances.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Some college credit.
- Previous experience in law enforcement, corrections, or EMS.
