About The Position

The Public Safety Officer provides security services at Prime Healthcare Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. The role includes electronic surveillance and systematic manual security rounds, coordinating the facility’s response to potential problems involving patients, employees, and visitors, and enforcing policies and procedures equitably. The officer follows guidelines and ongoing monitoring techniques to promote a safe workplace and environment of care. The position also works with the Environment of Care committee on a multidisciplinary approach to security and safety, participates in employee awareness and education, and drives for company business as needed. The schedule is full time, 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., with weekend availability required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
State driver's license upon hire, as required by the facility.
Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report, as required by the facility.
FOID Card, as required by the facility.
Must be able to work weekends.
