About The Position

The Public Area Attendant joins the housekeeping team to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of guest-facing areas and facilities at The American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin. The role includes cleaning public sitting rooms, hallways, restrooms, restaurants, banquet halls, elevators, and the hotel entrance, as well as other assigned areas. Attendants use cleaning equipment to care for floors, rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, complete assigned cleaning schedules, promptly report maintenance concerns, follow the hotel's lost-and-found policy, and assist guests in public areas when needed. This is a full-time onsite position with hours that vary between 5:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., including weekdays and weekends.

Requirements

Prior hotel or lodging experience is helpful but not necessary.
Must tolerate being on their feet for the majority of the day.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Clean public sitting rooms, hallways, and restroom areas throughout the hotel.
Clean and maintain restaurants and banquet halls.
Sweep and vacuum carpets and area rugs.
Polish furniture and fixtures.
Vacuum and polish elevators.
Keep the front of the hotel free from trash.
Clean rugs, carpets, tiled floors, and upholstered furniture in the Front of House using cleaning equipment.
Perform daily assigned tasks in restrooms, lifts, back areas, and the terrace.
Complete special cleaning schedules assigned by the housekeeping control desk or housekeeping management.
Report maintenance issues immediately to a supervisor or the housekeeping desk.
Comply with the hotel's lost-and-found policy.
Assist guests in public areas when required.
