About The Position

The Public Area Attendant joins the housekeeping team at The American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin, maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of hotel public areas, restaurants, and banquet halls. The role involves routine and scheduled cleaning, reporting maintenance issues, following the hotel’s lost-and-found policy, and assisting guests in public areas when needed. This is a full-time, onsite position. Work includes weekdays and weekends, with hours varying between 5:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Candidates must be able to remain on their feet for most of the day and lift up to 50 pounds. Prior hotel or lodging experience is helpful but not required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Clean public sitting rooms, hallways, and restroom areas throughout the hotel.
Clean and maintain restaurants and banquet halls.
Sweep and vacuum carpets and area rugs.
Polish furniture and fixtures.
Vacuum and polish elevators.
Keep the front of the hotel free from trash.
Clean rugs, carpets, tiled floors, and upholstered furniture in the Front of House using a vacuum cleaner, broom and dustpan, and shampoo machine.
Perform daily assigned tasks for restrooms, lifts, back areas, terraces, and other areas.
Complete special cleaning schedules assigned by the housekeeping control desk or housekeeping management.
Report maintenance issues immediately to a supervisor or the housekeeping desk.
Comply with the hotel’s lost-and-found policy.
Assist guests in public areas when required.
