About The Position

The Public Area Attendant maintains the cleanliness and organization of public areas in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards. The role also responds to guest room requests and follows applicable safety, chemical-handling, and sustainability procedures. The position is part of the Echelon Luxury & Lifestyle division of HHM Hotels. The stated growth path is Room Inspector, Housekeeping Supervisor, and Executive Housekeeper.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean hard and textile surfaces and restrooms in public areas.
Respond to guest room requests.
Keep internal windows and doorways free of fingerprints and smudges.
Keep furniture and hard surfaces in public areas clean and organized.
Keep floors free of debris and clean carpet spots.
Clean elevator surfaces and keep them free of debris.
Empty waste receptacles in public areas.
Clean the employee break room and employee restroom.
Use chemicals according to directions and become familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets.
Follow procedures for protection against blood-borne pathogens.
Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
