About The Position
The PT Tailor delivers a best-in-class tailoring experience and excellent products for consumers through customer service, sales, and Tailor Shop operations. The role performs basic and technical alterations, including hemming, patching and repair, tapering, and alterations requiring specialized equipment or detailed appearance work. The Tailor supports store leadership, helps resolve consumer concerns, educates and trains store teams on Tailor Shop services, and may train Tailors across the district or region. The role also supports Levi’s service and sales approach by recommending looks based on consumer needs, current trends, and promotions; promoting the Red Tab Loyalty program; and handling cash and Tailor Shop merchandise operations according to policy. The ideal candidate is consumer-centric, proactive, fashion-savvy, and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment. They have a thorough understanding of denim, fabrics, sewing, tailoring, textile repair, and machines used to sew denim products. The role requires schedule flexibility, reliable transportation, and the ability to meet the stated physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of sewing or tailoring experience.
- Strong knowledge of jeans construction.
- Thorough knowledge of machines used in sewing denim products.
- Understanding of textiles and fabrics, with proven sewing, tailoring, and textile-repair skills.
- Thorough understanding of the denim industry and current and upcoming trends.
- Awareness of design and details.
- Strong internal and external communication skills.
- Fashion savvy and interested in current trends.
- Able to enjoy a busy environment and juggle multiple tasks.
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform constant standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching overhead, and climbing ladders, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities
- Perform basic alterations, including hemming, patching, repairs, and tapering.
- Perform technical alterations, including work on items other than jeans that requires more technical equipment and detailed appearance-altering processes.
- Provide strong customer service and elevate consumers’ experiences.
- Resolve tailor-related consumer concerns in accordance with company policy, partnering with store management on escalated issues.
- Educate and train store teams on Tailor Shop offerings and services.
- May train Tailors within the district and/or region on Tailor processes and Levi’s Tailoring standards.
- Comply with Levi’s Stores policies, procedures, programs, and store-management directives.
- Suggest looks based on consumer needs, current trends, and promotions, consistent with Levi’s service approach.
- Promote the Levi’s omni experience by engaging consumers with the Red Tab Loyalty program.
- Handle cash and Tailor Shop merchandise operations and procedures efficiently and in compliance with store policy.
