About The Position

The Cleaner helps provide club members with a clean, sanitized, and safe fitness-club environment. The role is part-time at the Monroe, North Carolina location. Starting pay is $11 per hour, with hourly increases at 180 days, one year, and every six months thereafter based on the employee’s anniversary date. Schedule options are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., or 12:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling are required.
• Continual standing and walking during the shift are required.
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching during the shift are required.
• Continual reaching with hands, fingers, and arms during the shift is required.
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during the shift.

Nice To Haves

• Prior custodial experience is preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete the daily cleaning checklist and ensure all tasks are finished.
• Clean and sanitize fitness equipment and the gym floor.
• Clean and sanitize locker rooms, restrooms, shower facilities, and locker areas.
• Dispose of trash properly.
• Stock supplies throughout the club and in locker rooms.
• Report broken or missing amenities or equipment, such as toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, and gym equipment, to the Club Manager.
