About The Position

Athra Systems/Crosstown Mental Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care in an inpatient setting. The psychiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat clients with a wide range of mental health disorders and collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. The role includes providing on-call coverage and guidance and carrying a patient caseload.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Completed residency in Psychiatry.
• Valid medical license to practice in Wisconsin or ability to obtain one.
• Valid DEA license in Wisconsin or ability to obtain one.
• Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of mental health disorders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for clients in an inpatient setting.
• Prescribe and manage medication as necessary.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling as part of treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and performance monitoring.
• Provide on-call coverage and guidance.
• Carry a patient caseload.
• Stay current with developments in psychiatry and participate in continuing education activities.
