About The Position
Austin Oaks Hospital, an 80-bed freestanding behavioral health facility in South Austin, Texas, is seeking an Inpatient Adult Psychiatrist to provide patient-focused care to adults. The hospital offers a full continuum of psychiatric services, including inpatient programs for adults ages 18 and older, specialized Women’s Wellness and Addiction/Detox services, and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). The psychiatrist will manage an average caseload of 15 patients per day and work Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with minimal weekend and on-call requirements. The role offers a choice of W-2 employed status or 1099 independent contractor status and involves working with a multidisciplinary team focused on compassionate mental health care. Austin Oaks Hospital is a wholly owned and operated subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS).
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry.
- Current Texas medical license in good standing or eligibility to obtain one.
- Meet hospital credentialing requirements.
