About The Position

Palo Verde Behavioral Health is hiring an Inpatient Adult Psychiatrist in Tucson, Arizona, to provide care to a general inpatient adult population. The average workload is 15 total patient encounters per day. The position is full-time, with 1099 independent contractor status preferred and W-2 employment optional.

The schedule is Monday through Friday during the day, with phone-only evening call once per week. Weekend rounding is shared among the team, averaging one weekend in four. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available. Additional earnings may be available through a productivity bonus and additional weekend coverage and evening call. The benefits package applies to W-2 employees only and includes medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, short- and long-term disability, 26 days of paid time off per year, five paid CME days per year plus reimbursement for related expenses, and reimbursement for licenses and dues.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited program.
• Board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry.
• Arizona medical license or ability to obtain an Arizona medical license.
• Meet all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient psychiatric care to a general adult patient population.
• Manage an average of 15 total patient encounters per day.
