About The Position

ReDiscover is a non-profit community mental health center serving southeastern Jackson County, Missouri. The organization provides community-based behavioral health services to individuals and families across the lifespan. The Adult Psychiatrist joins a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and provides person-centered care to clients with varied backgrounds, experiences, and behavioral health needs. The organization emphasizes compassion, collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. The psychiatrist conducts crisis and psychiatric evaluations, formulates diagnoses, prescribes medication including medication-assisted treatments, manages medical care, and oversees treatment for clients at this level of care. The position also involves coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team and maintaining accurate, timely records in the electronic medical record system. Requirements

Medical degree and completion of a psychiatric residency.
Missouri licensure.
Willingness to provide collaborative practice to APRNs.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Comfort with electronic health records and intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and email.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive crisis and psychiatric evaluations and formulate diagnoses.
Prescribe medication appropriately, including medication-assisted treatments.
Manage medical care and oversee client treatment at this level of care.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, holistic care.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
