About The Position

TeleMed2U is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Psychiatrist for a full-time role on its virtual care team. The position provides psychiatric care through a fully remote telehealth platform and involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-focused mental healthcare. The role may also include supporting and supervising Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

TeleMed2U is a technology-enabled healthcare services company founded in 2011. It provides virtual care across medical and behavioral health specialties and focuses on improving access to specialty care through patient-centered, coordinated, and data-driven care delivery.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completed residency training in Psychiatry.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Active, unrestricted California medical license, or multi-state licensure.
• DEA license in good standing.
• Experience or interest in supervising APPs.
• Comfort practicing in a telehealth environment.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and ongoing treatment via telehealth.
• Manage psychotropic medications, including initiation, adjustments, and monitoring.
• Provide follow-up care and coordinate treatment plans for patients with varying acuity levels.
• Provide clinical supervision and support for APPs, as applicable.
• Accurately and promptly document clinical encounters in the EMR.
• Collaborate with care team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain compliance with clinical, regulatory, and TeleMed2U quality standards.
