About The Position

The UNC Department of Psychiatry is seeking an Open Rank Psychiatrist to provide virtual psychiatric care to inpatients and individuals in emergency departments through the EPIC platform. The psychiatrist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team at Jonas Hills Hospital and other entities within the UNC Health system. The role includes maintaining accurate, up-to-date electronic medical records and clinical documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The primary schedule is weekdays during daytime hours, with participation in a call pool for occasional weekend coverage. This is a fixed-term faculty position; appointment rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Telepsychiatry experience is preferred but not required.
