The UNC Department of Psychiatry is seeking a full-time reproductive psychiatrist (MD/DO) to join the Center for Women’s Mood Disorders. Founded in 2004, the Center provides clinical care, conducts scientific discovery, trains investigators and clinicians, and informs policy in women’s reproductive mood disorders. It is North Carolina’s primary referral resource for perinatal patients with complex psychiatric illness and operates a dedicated Perinatal Psychiatry Inpatient Unit. Demand for the program’s services is growing, with referrals from OB-GYN, family medicine, and statewide partners. The successful candidate will provide specialty outpatient care across the female reproductive lifespan, contribute to inpatient care on the Perinatal Psychiatry Inpatient Unit, participate in the NC-MATTERS statewide consultation line, supervise psychiatry residents and trainees in the Women’s Mood Disorders clinical services, and participate in the Center’s research program. This is a fixed-term faculty position. Rank will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The position is in person, with a limited hybrid component for the NC-MATTERS consultation line and administrative work.
