Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven full-time Psychiatrist to join our Adult Intensive Services (AIS) team and provide exceptional psychiatric care to individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental illness. In this collaborative role, you will conduct medication evaluations, psychiatric assessments, and ongoing medication management while working alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, and patient care coordinators dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art behavioral health care. This position offers the opportunity to serve diverse and often underserved populations, including individuals experiencing mental health crises, co-occurring cognitive disorders, and involuntary psychiatric treatment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who demonstrates integrity, humility, accountability, and a passion for improving lives through high-quality psychiatric care. In addition to direct patient care, you will play a key role in educating and mentoring psychiatric fellows, residents, nurse practitioner students, medical students, nurses, and early-career clinicians. AMHR also offers additional opportunities for supplemental compensation through Crisis Stabilization Unit coverage, teaching, preceptorship, mentorship, and other educational activities. If you thrive in a team-based environment, enjoy solving complex clinical challenges, and are committed to advancing mental health and substance use treatment for those most in need, we invite you to join us in making a meaningful impact in our community.
