Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Fee For Service

Thriveworks•Virginia Beach, VA
•$130,000 - $187,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Thriveworks is hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This fee-for-service W-2 role provides psychiatric care through in-person and telemedicine appointments. Clinicians must be licensed and live in the state where they practice. Compensation is $130,000–$187,000 per year based on 25–35 clinical hours per week. The clinician will care for a diverse population with mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Clients are primarily adults and adolescents, and the organization plans to expand care across the lifespan. The position requires treating clients aged 14 and older. Prescribing decisions are at the clinician’s discretion; Thriveworks does not push or incentivize stimulant medications. The organization does not currently treat substance use disorders and seeks to refer clients to in-person providers when symptoms are too severe for telemedicine alone. New hires complete in-house training on ADHD treatment standards, guidelines, and approach, followed by a certification exam. New hires are enrolled in the ADHD Clinic and expected to treat ADHD clients, with no quotas for client or prescription volume. Thriveworks is a clinician-founded and clinician-led mental health provider with 340+ locations and a nationwide hybrid care model.
