About The Position

CHE Behavioral Health Services is hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Utica, New York. Since 1995, CHE has served adult and geriatric mental health patients across facilities in multiple states. The role provides psychiatric care in partnered facilities, with a consistent caseload and the opportunity to work close to home. Clinicians can create their schedules within Monday–Friday, 7 AM–7 PM hours; nights, weekends, and on-call work are not required. The PMHNP conducts psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits, develops and evaluates treatment plans, and prescribes and manages psychotropic medications. The clinician collaborates with an integrated care team and distinguishes psychological from physiological disorders. CHE provides an AI scribe to draft session notes and reduce after-hours charting. Requirements

MSN in Psychiatric/Mental Health.
ANCC PMHNP certification.
Active DEA license in the state of practice.
Experience in psychotropic medication management.
At least 2 years of experience; Family Nurse Practitioners with 3–5 years of psychiatric experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
Collaborate with an integrated care team of psychiatrists, psychologists, LCSWs, and nursing staff.
Distinguish and diagnose psychological versus physiological disorders.
Consult on complex or unusual clinical cases.
