About The Position

Ally Psychiatry is seeking experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) or Psychiatric Physician Assistants (PAs) for PRN inpatient psychiatric care in the Chattanooga, Tennessee market. The role provides flexible, as-needed coverage, with primarily weekend opportunities, in an onsite inpatient behavioral health setting. Providers work with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team in a physician-led organization and receive support through established clinical workflows and documentation templates.

Requirements

• Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Physician Assistant with psychiatric experience.
• Active Tennessee license or eligibility for Tennessee licensure.
• Tennessee DEA or ability to obtain.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care.
• All final candidates must complete a background check and drug screening prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in inpatient psychiatry, behavioral health, or acute mental health is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Manage psychiatric medications and monitor treatment response.
• Participate in daily inpatient rounding.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, and hospital teams.
• Provide evidence-based psychiatric care in an inpatient behavioral health setting.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation.
