The PSS Onboarding Specialist supports a smooth, organized onboarding experience and serves as the primary point of contact for new hires and department leaders. The role builds working relationships, coordinates onboarding tasks, and ensures required documents, checks, and orientation activities are completed accurately and on time. It works closely with recruiting and leadership to maintain onboarding trackers, support organization-wide processes, and keep workflows efficient. The specialist also monitors post-onboarding survey results to identify opportunities to improve the onboarding journey. The position requires an associate’s degree, although a high school diploma plus two additional years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree. One year of recruitment support or closely related HR support experience is required. The role requires knowledge of provider onboarding workflows and tracking systems, strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, familiarity with policies and compliance requirements, accuracy in documentation, troubleshooting ability, and discretion when handling sensitive employee information. This is sedentary work involving sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing and occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds. Routine work involves no exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue, and no emergency care or first aid duties. Because the role is in a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk of exposure to hazardous medications or waste, depending on job duties. The job description does not specify a remote, hybrid, or onsite work arrangement; applicants are directed to consult the job description for that information.
