About The Position

Westmark Enterprises/Kendall Hunt Publishing is hiring an Onboarding Specialist for its IT Department. The position works from the company’s home office in Dubuque, Iowa, and provides setup, training, and support to new customers beginning to use the company’s digital products. The specialist assists with product setup, including LTI integrations and customer-specific configuration, and supports customers during early implementation before transitioning them to the Tech Support team. The role also performs quality assurance testing on newly released browsers or operating systems, creates documentation for new products, and hosts training sessions and webinars through Zoom.

Requirements

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent customer service experience and communication abilities.
Technical IT background sufficient to succeed in the role.
Ability and eagerness to solve problems and apply logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

Responsibilities

Set up new digital products, including LTI integrations, and configure and customize them according to customer preferences.
Provide customer support during the early implementation process and transition customers to the Tech Support team.
Perform quality assurance and test newly released browsers or operating systems.
Create documentation for new products.
Host training sessions and webinars via Zoom.
