About The Position

Patriot Enterprises is seeking a Protocol Specialist to provide Administrative Services Support for the USCG at the Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Headquarters, and Aviation Procurement Acquisition Center in Elizabeth City, NC. This role involves organizing and coordinating various events, tours, meetings, and social functions, ensuring adherence to protocol and etiquette for distinguished visitors and high-ranking officials. The specialist will also manage audio/visual equipment, attend meetings to record minutes, and maintain briefing materials.

Requirements

  • Obtain the Military/DoW Protocol Specialist certification within twelve (12) months of hire.
  • Two (2) years' experience of protocol and event planning.
  • Applying protocol and etiquette to organize events, coordinate ceremonies, and manage receptions, while considering the status of dignitaries, military and civilian representatives, and high-ranking officials.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform simple arithmetic.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimal Government oversight.
  • Extensive background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and coordinating base-wide tours, including itineraries and transportation, for distinguished visits.
  • Conducting weekly tours for newly hired employees, visitors, and others as directed.
  • Leading specialized tours of ALC for visiting groups.
  • Greeting arriving aircraft and arranging transportation for visitors.
  • Escorting guests throughout the base complex and managing visitor itineraries.
  • Setting up and operating audio/visual equipment for meetings.
  • Managing and coordinating the schedule for the Commanding Officer's Conference Rooms.
  • Attending designated meetings, recording minutes, and publishing them.
  • Maintaining and updating weekly briefing materials and keeping the Command Brief current.
  • Planning and managing ceremonies, including retirements, promotions, awards, and other events.
  • Providing support on protocol matters, particularly with invitations, scripts, and programs.
  • Organizing and assisting in hosting social functions for the Wardroom.
  • Coordinating the recognition program for Enlisted Person of the Quarter.
  • Assisting the CG-AIR Commanding Officer's Secretary.
  • Assisting with other ALC and Command Administrative duties.
