About The Position

The Control Room Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the cooker and associated rendering equipment to produce a high quality finished product that will meet all food safety plan and production requirements. Responsible for daily inspection of equipment to ensure safe operation, food safety and performance specifications. Employee is responsible for communicating any issues with safety, Food safety plan or and production limitations with the management team. Operator will monitor raw material bins, flow ways and all finished storage bins, to ensure proper food safety and production efficiency. Must monitor all mechanical systems to report any safety, food safety plan or mechanical issues, and be able to react accordingly. Performs all necessary housekeeping duties in assigned areas. May have to assist maintenance. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Capable of communicating in both oral and written formats.
  • Understanding of the fundamental principles of manufacturing.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand, sit and use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Close vision acuity capability required.
  • Must pass drug, alcohol, and background checks post-offer and prior to the start of employment.
  • Verification of employment eligibility must be documented for all new employees by the end of the third day of work.
