About The Position

This role is responsible for the installation, programming, setting, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment. The position involves working with various components such as metal detectors, scales, PID controllers, VFDs, PLCs, circuit boards, fuses, relays, motors, and electro-pneumatic valves. The electrician will also be responsible for reading and interpreting technical drawings, performing timely repairs and routine maintenance, preventive maintenance on equipment, and addressing emergency and unplanned problems. The job requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including high heat and cold, at heights, and in confined spaces, with the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Poultry or food manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Ability to work in warm temperatures and lift 50 lbs or more.
  • Knowledge using multimeter, megohmmeter, signal generator and computers.
  • Experience using power tools, saws, drills, impacts, grinder, etc.
  • Should be able to work on high heat and cold environments, heights, confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, set, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment (metal detectors, scales, PID controllers, VFD, PLC, circuit boards, fuses, relays, motors, electro-pneumatic valves, etc.)
  • Read and interpret electromechanical drawings, schematics, blueprints, etc.
  • Perform timely repair and routine maintenance.
  • Preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Deal with emergency and unplanned problems and repairs.
