About The Position

This role is responsible for installing, programming, setting, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic equipment. The technician will also perform routine and preventive maintenance, and handle emergency repairs. The position requires the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use various electrical testing tools and power tools. The work environment can involve high heat and cold, heights, and confined spaces, with the need to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Poultry or food manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be a team player.
• Ability to work in warm temperatures and lift 50 lbs or more.
• Knowledge using multimeter, megohmmeter, signal generator and computers.
• Experience using power tools, saws, drills, impacts, grinder, etc.
• Should be able to work on high heat and cold environments, heights, confined spaces.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, set, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment (metal detectors, scales, PID controllers, VFD, PLC, circuit boards, fuses, relays, motors, electro-pneumatic valves, etc.)
• Read and interpret electromechanical drawings, schematics, blueprints, etc.
• Perform timely repair and routine maintenance.
• Preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Deal with emergency and unplanned problems and repairs.
